Sending money to a friend or around the world, has never been easier, with email money transfer
I get tons of emails and private messages with many different money questions. One of the questions I’ve received a number of times is how to send money using email, both to friends nearby and across the world.
So if you’ve been curious about how to email money and haven’t mastered it yet, today’s Financially FabulousTM Episode is for you.
When wanting to give money to a friend, family member or pay someone, sending an email money transfer is the quick and easy way to do it. It seems like gone are the days of going to the bank to get cash or write a cheque. If you have online banking, (which hopefully you have) and you know the email address of the person you want to send money to, you have everything you need.
You just log into your online banking and set up the recipient by inputting their name, email address and a secret question. You don’t even need their banking information. Once that initial work is done, you can send them an e-transfer anytime, by selecting their name, the amount you want to send them and the account you want the funds to come from.
Although sending an email money transfer is quick and easy, what I love even more is how far we’ve come in being able to send money around the globe with TransferWise. I’ve become a great customer of theirs as they make sending money cheaper, faster and more comfortable (and I can do it from home in my fuzzy slippers).
With TransferWise, I can send money to my family in South Africa for birthdays, holidays or in case of emergency, with just a few clicks. All you have to do is set up a login, have access to your online banking and have the banking information of the person you want to send money to. You receive notifications every step of the way, and it is stress free!
